The trend of blue and green feels fresh and organic in this home. These perfect earthy colors create a beautiful contrast paired with rustic woods and white tiled patterns. I had the pleasure of collaborating with the owner, Paloma, on this project. Although selecting cabinetry was new to her, she had an eye for color and design. Finding the exact cabinet color she was looking for and pairing it with a functional layout was a must!
Let’s dive into the kitchen! I love the variety of textures and layers in this space. It’s the perfect mix of chic, nature, and vintage (hence the title for this blog!). For the cabinetry, we used a Shaker style door from Decora Cabinetry (Airedale) with Cascade Paint. I love the clean and simple lines on this door style; especially when pairing it with a bold painted look. The printed wallpaper from Anthropology (called ‘Charlie’) adds a welcome change from the more standard look of solid layered neutrals. With its color and floral pattern it ties this space together.
Details were not forgotten in the finishing touches. Clear hardware was a fun find from Etsy! Apothecary jars, select cookware, and a light blue KitchenAid Stand Mixer were selected to decorate the counters. Glass pendant lighting resembles the feel and look of apothecary jars for a perfect vintage feel.
Moving to the bathrooms – check out these breathtaking spaces! The wallpaper in each bathroom has a wonderful color palette with an assortment of birds, branches, and florals. The rest of the space is classic, neutral and elegant with brass accents.
A sprinkle of green was added in each bathroom with small plants for a subtle pop. The hardware, plumbing fixtures and lighting compliment their individual wallpaper.
In the master bath pictured below, green wallpaper is bursting with color! Green can be a bold choice but in this case it is well balanced with the cabinetry and the penny tile. The cabinetry features the same door style we used in the kitchen (Airedale by Decora) but with a soft white color and stunning black hardware. The bones of this room are also worth mentioning. Dark painted paneled walls make this room!
I am sure you can see why I was so excited to feature this project on my blog! This project provides inspiration on how to use these trending colors to achieve earthy balanced spaces.
