About Us

Patrick

Growing up with a love for building and woodworking led to a career building and remodeling homes. Beginning work in northern Utah, with time spent in Seattle, Jackson Hole area and Santa Fe, he was offered the opportunity to design.

It was a pivotal career changing moment to finally merge his love of creating with his experiences as an artist, chef and gardener. Austin has been his home since 2005 and he feels it has been a pleasure having relationships with clients, designers and builders that stretch back to the year he arrived.

Patrice

Patrice Rios is an award winning interior designer with an in-depth understanding of the ever-changing world of modern and contemporary design. After receiving a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Detroit Mercy, Patrice began her career with international design group located in Los Angeles at the age of 21. Two short years later, Patrice accepted a senior designing position designing luxury hotels in Shanghai China. This experience allowed for creative growth and understanding of architecture development. Just one short year later, Patrice and 3 other partners started Troo Designs KBI in the expanding marketplace of Austin, Texas.

Troo Designs’ kitchen and bath showroom is highly rated for their understanding and drive to deliver a functional, yet artistic appeal to all clients. Patrice’s talent led her to participate as a recurring design consultant for HGTV’s “Buying and Selling” with the Property Brothers. In 2015, Patrice started Sige and Honey, taking shipping containers and converting them into livable spaces. Because of the creativity and overall understanding of the growing marketplace, Sige and Honey allowed Patrice to become featured on HGTV’s new show “Container Homes” as an interior designer bringing recognition and appraisal to the new concept. The combined success of both “Troo Design” and “Sige and Honey” led Patrice to be featured on KVUE news multiple times and both companies being featured in the highly reputable “Austin Home Magazine” 2016 winter issue. Patrice Rios’ understanding of kitchen, bath, and interior design allow her to have a distinguished yet fresh view on the changing world of design.
